In this secondment Dr. Matthäus was involved in the electrochemical characterization of the properties of electrode samples. He was introduced to the data analysis carried out on these samples and worked on the experimental setup to acquire valid data. Dr. Matthäus acquired extensive technical knowledge about the electrochemical characterization in material science and about data analysis techniques, and also he provided information to the hosting institute (Dr. Fonseca attending) about quality management and quality assurance procedures that have to be followed in medical manufacturing and are currently in place at eemagine GmbH.
